From Farm to Fork & Beyond

From Soil to Human and Planetary Health – Discover new knowledge and connect with the community actively reinventing the agri-food system starting from September 20.

About the event

Together with the BaseLink Community, the Innovation Office at the University of Basel is inviting you to a new series of public events: From Soil to Fork & Beyond.

Our eight events will take us through the production process of food, from soil to field to table and then beyond, looking at the impact of our food production on human and environmental health. We are showcasing excellent projects and ideas in the Basel region in circular economy, nutrition and health, agriculture, food security, and climate change: Dive deeper into initiatives that are reinventing the current agrifood system in Basel for a positive impact for our health and well-being as individuals and society.

Each session will have a different topic and address a challenge we face as a society. Usually, we start with a 45 min input from an expert in the field, followed by a casual exchange and discussions over some healthy food and drinks.

We aim to inspire interdisciplinary collaborations by fostering continuous knowledge exchange across the entire food value chain and bringing together the community that is actively changing the current food system. Join the conversation and get inspired.

We are excited to meet you on the journey at our Innovation Garage on the BaselLink site in Allschwil!
